Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all you mums out there, especially mine.

(Also, a big thank you to Sam's mum, for putting up for us and for all the lovely dinners!)

I'm often told that I am very similar to my mum, and hopefully we share a similar sense of humour, so in a typical Boo and Beans style fashion, I have written a few more haikus -

Mum and Dad

"My mum, Sheila Hinds -
You can be irritating,
But can't trade you in.

Mum, you popped me out,
Thanks for helping me survive,
Won't go back there though.

You don't mince your words,
Yes, we are grateful for that,
Excuse notes were great.

Thanks for all the hugs,
Especially when I cried,
You're cuddly, yes.

Mother, thanks again,
You might just be the best mum,
In the world, ever."

Unfortunately I can't be with my mum to make her tea and cook her a bacon sandwich, but at least I can tell the rest of the world about her!

I made sure I gave her a call first thing this morning, I had accidentally woken her up after a night shift, oops, but its the thought that counts right?
